Equus – DivX Version (Normal Quality), iPod/iPhone Version

EquusEquus (1977)

IMDB rating: 7.10

Plot: A psychiatrist, Martin Dysart, investigates the savage blinding of six horses with a metal spike in a stable in Hampshire, England. The atrocity was committed by an unassuming seventeen-year-old stable boy named Alan Strang, the only son of an opinionated but inwardly-timid father and a genteel, religious mother. As Dysart exposes the truths behind the boy’s demons, he finds himself face-to-face with his own.

If you haven’t read the Dante Valentine books by Lilith Saintcrow I’d reccomend them. I like them much more than Redemption Alley.

First off, thank you for not wanting to read twilight. thank you.

second, some good stuff in there. Love rosencrantz and guildenstern are dead.

that said, I always recommend the Dresden files by Jim Butcher.

You’ve read Choke, have you read any of Chuck’s other stuff? I’m a fan of fight club, personally, and I have a friend who said that survivor (at least I think it was survivor) was fantastic.

I’d also recommend books by Ted Conover. He’s a nonfiction writer, which I normally avoid, but he’s unique. try a few chapters of Coyotes, you’ll see what I mean. though you’ll probably want to avoid whiteout. it’s the only thing conover wrote that i don’t care for.

most of my personal favorites come from the fantasy genre, including Name of the Wind by patrick rothfus, and American Gods by Neil Gaiman, but it doesn’t really match anything on your list.

anyhow, hope I helped some.
